PERTH WRITERS FESTIVAL

I’ve been reading and enjoying Margaret Drabble’s books  for half a century, beginning in 1963 with A Summer Birdcage and most recently her new novel The Pure Gold Baby.  I have always found her work entirely engaging, inspired and challenging and piercingly relevant to my own life and writing, so I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to interview Margaret at the Perth Writers Festival later this month.  Come and join us if you can:  11.30am on Friday 21st August in The Octagon Theatre at UWA. you can book here: http://2014.perthfestival.com.au/Whats-on-by-Genre/Perth-Writers-Festival?utm_source=wordfly&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=toPWFpatrons&utm_content=version_A

  1. Trust you are well and writing again. I love your books. When is your next fiction book to be published?

  2. Hi Carolann – I am delighted to tell you that my new book FAMILY SECRETS will be released on 1 July – I am just about to post a copy of the cover on the website. Liz

  3. Ooh, I am very excited to see your newest book FAMILY SECRETS is due out soon. I really enjoy your novels, and the seven of your previous books I have are all becoming a little dog-eared from the many times I have read, and re-read them. Somehow your characters all begin to feel like extended family members, so I love re-visiting them. You make them such “real” people with their own failings, and joys, in life.
    Cheers Judy

  4. I’m glad you’ve enjoyed them so much Judy. They have all just been re-released in new covers – which are very different and look great. So when your covers drop off you know what to do!
