I’m really looking forward to the Melbourne Writers Festival later this month.
I’ll be there on the 22nd and 23rd August and hope it may be a chance to catch up with some readers in Melbourne. I’m putting below a link to the three events I’m doing. This link has info on the events, locations and times and details of how to book. So if you are able to come along do come and say hello after the event. Look forward to seeing you there.

  1. Hi Liz, not sure if this is the right place to contact you, but I met you very briefly at the Bris writer’s festival. I was the one who dragged you (probably the long way) to the ABC building after one of your sessions. It was lovely to meet you and I enjoyed the session very much. Just a query – I am reading Family Secrets at the moment .On page 217 of my copy, Phillip and Connie are at the opera and he refers to a book by Vita Sackville-West. Was the book “All Passion Spent”? If not, I would love to know which one. Thankyou. May bump into you again at the Melbourne Festival. Susi Doherty.

  2. Hi there, Susi D again. Think I’m in the wrong place definitely. But also feeling pretty stupid, as I should have read the whole book(Family Secrets), before I asked you the question about the book. I read further and have seen that it was “All Passion Spent”. I loved that book, and have to say, I am loving yours too. Thanks Liz. Hope this gets to you. Cheers, Susi

  3. Thanks Mary, so glad you are enjoying the novels and also In Love and War. Thant was a very important book for me and it is very close to my heart.

  4. Thanks Susi, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Yes, All Passion Spent was the book, as you will have discovered by now as it mentioned into the acknowledgement and in the latter part of the book. Hope you enjoy it.
    All the best.

  5. Hi Susi, so glad you tracked down the book by Vita Sackville West and that you enjoyed it and mine as well. thanks for letting me know.
